Families love our Sanded Cedar House. It’s made of kiln-dried cedar that’s been sanded on all sides, so it’s easy for children to paint the smooth surfaces. This house offers the same seasoning and durability characteristics and the same attractiveness to mason bees as our popular Western Red Cedar House.
This house holds approximately 50 empty nesting tubes in the top compartment and has plenty of room for either twelve 6” tubes or six 12” folded tubes containing bees in the bottom compartment.
Mounting screw included; some additional hardware may be needed, depending on installation site. Nesting tubes and bees sold separately.
Note: All mason bee houses should be placed on a south or southeast facing wall, low enough to catch the morning sun, but near enough to the eaves to protect them from the rain and wind.
